It’s One Word Sunday time again, and this week, Debbie’s theme is Flat.
So, I’ve gone for something different this week, and created a flat image. A digital painting that I hope doesn’t fall flat. However, I couldn’t exactly leave the colours flat, and had to blend them. There are still some flat colours there, though!
Interesting image, Tom. I’m not sure quite what to make of the figures. They look kinda creepy to me!

Thanks, Chris. Hooded figures at Sunset can have a creepy look at times. To me, though, all I can see now is a sack or two of spuds! 🤣

I thought they were rocks 😬

Hehehe! At least you can see something in them, EC! 🙂 The whole creation is open to artistic interpretation! I can now see a rock sculpted to look like a pair of figures built from a sack of potatoes! 🤣

Oooh, now I can see eyes in the top one… 😨

And if you look at the second, there are eyes there too… in exactly the same place… looking this way… both of them… boo! 😳🤣

Who thought we used the word flat in so many ways!

I love the entire thing, all the colors with their minimal blend ❤️

At least it isn’t too flat!

I think you captured Flat quite well. I like the paint despite the lack of dimension. I think the halo around – what I see as a couple watching a sunset – adds a romantic evening feel. I like when art is viewed in different ways. Well done, Tom. 😎

Thanks, Isadora. I like that things can be seen in different ways, and I like seeing how others interpret them differently.
