Last week, I started to doze off in my armchair in the Living Room when I was suddenly awakened by a bright flash outside the Living Room window. Quickly, mobilius phonius in hand, I dashed to the window to capture the above shot (on video!)
Fortunately, it was an impressive firework display out in the Grinds, of all places.
I marvelled at the colours for a while, until the last of the display fizzled out.
And then I went back to dozing.
Posted for Debbie’s Six Word Saturday.
Best viewed from a distance? I’m not a fan of fireworks. How could I be, growing up in York with its famous son, Guy Fawkes😉

They’re OK when you can see them from inside, Chris… but not as pleasant when out on a cold cold night. We may not have been celebrating Guy Fawkes Night had things gone the other way back then… or maybe we would have been celebrating it differently.
I was never keen on seeing the ‘Guy’ thrown onto the bonfire though… so fireworks must be better than that! 🙂

Thanks, Eugenia… these are stills from the video I took, so that made the captures a little easier!
