I’ve been trying to be a little more creative of late, choosing to write a plethora of separate stories, with my ultimate goal of getting the characters and stories to occasionally overlap and crossover with each other.
I wanted to keep them separate to this blog, so opted to use my Wattpad account to publish the stories there. They are kept in one place, and can be easily added to when I write the next segment of the respective tale.
Currently, I have nine stories over on Wattpad, but a system issue at the moment is only showing three of them, and I can’t get access to the other six. In itself, that isn’t a problem, apart from one of the stories in this ‘Superhero Central’ mix is within the inaccessible batch. The others are classed as complete, so being hidden from view isn’t so bad for them.
So, I had a choice to make. Do I post the stories here on this blog, continue on Wattpad when the problems are resolved, or do something else. So, me being me, and just to make life a little harder for myself, I opted for something else.
I’ve created yet another blog, a holding blog if you like, or perhaps a ‘library’ will be more like it (although at the moment this is a converted phone booth library compared to one housed in a more conventional library setting!) This blog links to separate blogs for all of the new characters I’ve created, so in effect each has their own blog plus a ‘book’ over on Wattpad.
The image above links to Superhero Central in a separate window – and from there, links can be found to my new stories.
I’ve also added this as part of Six Word Saturday, in another attempt to try to rejoin the Blogging Collective!
So far so good, Tom. I’ll have to pop back tomorrow for a proper poke about!

No worries, Chris. I think you’ve read the parts I’ve posted over on Wattpad. It’s a tricky platform that one, isn’t it? Or is it just me? 🤫🙄🙂

I don’t remember having the difficulties with Wattpad you mention. I’ve not posted on there for ages and ages. I only visit to read you and Paul! 🦸♀️🦸♂️

I see! 😀 Friday and Saturday (or maybe Thursday and Friday – time’s done that merging thing!) were terrible, later on Saturday I couldn’t even get to see the three I could earlier, just had a white screen with a circle spinning in the centre 🙄
DownDetector confirmed there were problems. It’s still a handy service though…

Let’s hope it sorts itself out. It still seems fine from the reader’s side at least.

It’s been OK the last couple of times I visited, Chris, so here’s hoping!!

Good luck with the different formats. I have enough trouble with one!☺️👍🏻

Thanks, Cheryl… although this is really just a case of copying and pasting!

Heavens, you do like to complicate life, Tom, but I like the look of your characters.

Thanks, Jo. I’ve probably made it more complicated than it needs to be, but I can streamline things as I go along. As for the characters, I’m trying to make them as fun, different and quirky as possible! 🙂

I’ve never tried Wattpad. Maybe I should check it out. Your characters are cool, Tom!

It’s a good platform to build up the chapters of a book, Eugenia, if you don’t mind doing it publicly! I ‘m just using it to keep some of my ongoing stories in one place… although with the system issues yesterday I’ve now given myself a little extra work to do. Glad you like the characters.

That seems like a smart solution! The wonderful thing about blogs is that you’re in full control of all the content, and you can organize and reorganize to your heart’s content. 🙂

It seems to be working so far, Diane. But so far I haven’t really written all that much!
