I’m back! With a square Square today for Becky’s #TreeSquares… only the image doesn’t fit in the square… or does it? At least there’s plenty of room for branches, but not ‘mushroom’ for anything else!

I believe the fungus in this photo is known as an Artist’s Conk. It’s a pity it isn’t The Old Man Of The Woods, as if it were, that would have been the title for this post!

I wondered why you didn’t say “There’s no mushroom in this square” but once I saw the photo, I got it. 🙂 There are certainly fungus amongus, though.

We’ve finally been getting a very good amount of rain and even here in the dry desert, there’s a sort of fungus that shows up…even when it’s not particularly wet.

The tree remind me of Jack and the beanstalk. Can you imagine him climbing up and the tree bending as he falls? He could use the mushrooms as stepping stone though. lol

The mushrooms look as though they’d be handy stepping stones, Isadora, but if I were a giant, I don’t think I’ll risk using them. I back away from wild mushrooms! 🙂
