If you look very, very closely, you may see the Midsummer Nymphs appear,
The Silver Unicorn, the Speckled Deer,
The Gnome of the Forest, the Guardsman of the Lake,
The Faeries on the Zephyr, and possibly the Hermit, if it’s late.
This week, the Internet Nobody’s Cosmic Photo Challenge is Midsummer, so I’ve tweaked a few photos and added a few words in celebration. It is, of course, a magickal, mystical time.
I noticed him in the third photo.

It’s amazing what the mind sees! I hadn’t seen any figures until your comment, and now there’s a man clearly standing in the centre of the last picture! He must be the Hermit!

Oh, Tom! I think I did catch a glimpse of a Unicorn. Awesome.

😃 Yay! I don’t suppose you could tell me where, though, Chris!? A man has appeared to me in the third picture now, but when I wrote the rhyme, the scene was clear! 😀

It’s OK… I think I’ve found the Unicorn in the first picture! 🦄

You can only see them if you wish very, very hard… It must have worked 🙂

You selected a wonderful paragraph for your words to expand our perspective by taking us into another world. Well done, Tom!

Thanks, Frank. I wanted to convey the mysticism of Midsummer… seems it’s working!

Way more than unicorns and nymphs in that last photo….The Mansion changes it every few minutes and it’s hard to keep up….Could this be a whole other world? Yes I believe so….VK 🙂

It’s certainly a gateway to one, VK! There’s a sprite peering from behind the leaves in the bottom left corner now as well! 🙂

You mean the sprite the baby tiger under the green plant has his eye on??? Strange world indeed….

Or is it more a case of seeing what we think we see, Beverly? My eyes deceive me often!

Visual trickery reaches its height in desert mirages. There, a shimmering puddle of water in the distance is just a trick of the light. There, a sparkle in the air seems to be an approaching car but is really a flash off the sun. It pays to pay close attention to one’s surroundings.

It does indeed… especially since seeing isn’t always believing!

Thanks, Earthskyair… I didn’t notice anything until afterwards… and usually I spot some things straight away! Even writing the rhyme didn’t help me!

Magical photos, Tom. I do see the man in the centre of the third one and also a couple of cheeky goblins off to the left.

Thanks, Sylvia. That man in the centre is a little mysterious, isn’t he? The way he comes and goes! One minute there… the next, gone. 🙂
