Did you see the Wood Imp?

In a recent post, I highlighted one of the Grinds-dwellers known as the Wood Imp. A tiny creature, with a somewhat wooden appearance and a tail that is about eight times as long as its body. This post is the reveal. You may or may not have spotted it as I really didn’t give you much to go on!

The picture above is the top section of the original. And there, on that branch next to where the label appears is the elusive creature itself. The tail can clearly be seen arching down below – don’t let the fact that it looks like the rest of the trees fool you – this little creature is a master of disguise! Very cunning it is, and it becomes as still as a statue if it is spotted!

There’s a tiny speck of white just over to the left of the label – that is the Imp’s nose – you can see the two dark round eyes looking intently forward just above. From certain angles, it appears to look like a tiny raccoon – well, its face does. The rest of it certainly doesn’t!

Did you spot it? Well done if you did! Still no? I’ve removed the colour from around the elusive little imp… maybe this will make things clearer (It does have a really long tail!):

It was a tricky one, this one, VK. I’ll look for an easier one for next time! Close-up, it’s no teddy bear!

It wasn’t easy for my very young eyes, Prenin. Cough. Splutter. What? 😉
