It’s 4AM and oh so quiet
Dark and peaceful at this time of night
I look through the window and all I see
Stretching before me: eternity
No squabbles, no rows, no ‘you must buy this!’
Just a silent darkness and eternal bliss
I sit myself down in the old wooden chair
Look through the window
And lose myself there
Out amongst the millions of stars
I look and I float and I dream for hours
Surrounded by peace. That will do me.
For now.
Forever.
For eternity.

Hopefully in 2016 people will reintroduce themselves to silence and simplicity and pay attention to their lives! If only more people could see through the deceptions placed before us for distraction purposes. Tech gadgets are not to make us happy and make life easier, they are there to hold our attention hostage and disconnect us from life, from the now, from the space in which peace resides…How will we ever undo this travesty and return to who we really are? It’s funny how images often capture our attention and some we find hard to forget. I find the ever present image of people with bowed heads texting mindlessly and not even seeing where they are going both pitiful and disgusting. If we go down and miss our opportunity to move ahead it will be our own fault as usual. Enjoy the silence TL. There is such wonder and peacefulness in the stillness of silence….Blessings….VK
