Living on the Moon

LLC Promotion 1

Reports are coming in that the Forward Thinking Consortium, otherwise known as The Luna Landscaping Company, have commenced their project to create an atmosphere on the Moon.

Recently speaking via video phone, company chairman Dick Lines hailed the project a success.

“We’ve successfully created the first cloud on the satellite using Atmospheric Relay Station 4. Following the dramatic explosion of ARS1, and the subsequent failures of ARS 2 and 3, 4 is more stable, and it even hummed as it kicked into action. The automatic camera placed close to the site, which we can’t disclose for legal reasons, captured the clouds’ creation, seconds after the unit was switched on.

“The Earth looks like a Full Moon hovering overhead, a silent sentinel observing the events as they happen.

“Already, as you can see in the picture, the Luna Skyscape is different, altered dramatically, with reds and golds replacing what was just a shade of black.

“Once the Moon is completely covered by this cloud of atmosphere, we will start with stage two of the project, and introduce plant-life and water tanks. And once they take hold, stage three will commence, which includes the first Luna Landing Party.

“Obviously, we will keep you informed of events as and when they happen.”

According to the reports, the LLC are trying to rush along the LLP, so they will arrive on the Moon by the middle of next week, taking the plant-life and water units with them, rather than waiting for the atmosphere to fully take hold and establish itself.

Company spokesman, Gordon San Pappiere, deflected criticism of what has been called ‘corporate impatience’ by some of the interested parties in the project.

“It’s utter nonsense to say we are being impatient. We’ve run thousands of trials here on Earth, every one as successful as the previous one. We know through our tests that absolutely nothing will go wrong.”

Betty Eadcliffe, who works on reception at the LLC’s offices – in a location that we can’t disclose through the company’s protection of information policy – passed us a note from one of the workers there.

In the note, the worker says that even the ARS devices aren’t ready, which was highlighted by the failures of the first three, and the other sixteen devices haven’t been thoroughly tested.

We confronted LLC Press Secretary Oran Kloon regarding this claim, and he said a terse “No comment” and then went on to say “The company will not answer criticism regarding this project. It is destined not to fail.”

We will be keeping a close eye on these events and report back in due course. Until then, please be patient.

😀 😀 😀 I think what they NEED is one of those 3D printers. That will take care of everything. 😀

At least they’d be able to replicate those ARS devices quickly, Tess. I’m not sure they’re interested if they actually work…

Well? Are you joining up to go there TL? Take Cut the crap’s advice and take the printer with you and recreate the mansion up there. Fun place to blog from. I doubt you will have many moments of nothing to write about 🙂 I guess you’ll have to print out wireless to use up there. Good luck! VK

I’ll see how they get on at first, VK. The Mansion can take me to the Moon whenever it wants to anyway, so that’s not a problem. Knowing exactly when is, but that’s another matter!
If I do go, wireless connectivity will be a must.

All these character’s names are great, Tom, but my favorite is “Oran Kloon”.

Thanks, LA. I’m not entirely sure I like Oran Kloon as a character, but I like his name also!

LOL, when I first read this Tom, I thought wow, not heard that news recently on the media… LOL.. Are they certain of what’s on the dark side of the Moon though.. I hear a huge space craft landed there last year.. 😉
If they really want rain clouds, I suggest they get in touch with the Weather moderation Unit, We see them at work over head daily.. they are the ones flying the planes doing noughts and cross grids in the sky.. Shortly afterwards a cloud forms, and BINGO.. Rain soon falls, but not your average rainfall, NO.. its tropical, 🙂 Beats getting the watering can out for the allotments.. 🙂 😉 xxx

Yes, I’ve seen those lines in the sky, Sue. I tend to think there’s been a lot of planes about, but their vapour trails usually clear quickly. Sometimes, the sky’s that full of them, it’s like being in a cage.

One night, a few years ago, the lines were illuminated by the Full Moon. There wasn’t a cloud in the sky apart from these parallel trails that filled the sky. Very eerie.
