I was rudely disturbed from my sleep at just before twelve thirty this morning by an almighty explosion just outside Aquatom Mansion. I shot out of bed with break-neck speed and peered through the bedroom window, expecting to see a scene of carnage and devastation. But things looked normal.
Another rolling round of thumpa-thumpa-thumpa sounded, increasing in volume, rumbling onwards overhead. It wasn’t an explosion that had awoken me, it was thunder.
It was then that I noticed everywhere covered thinly with a layer of snow. Why I hadn’t noticed this when I first looked out of the window is beyond me right now, but I was half asleep, and I suppose that is a good a reason as any.
I settled back down in bed, and drifted off to sleep, only to be rudely disturbed once again at six o’clock, but this time by my alarm. Give me thunder any day!
I looked through the window again. The snow had cleared, and rain was now falling in its place. The occasional hail shower made an appearance throughout the morning, but the snow has not yet returned. It’s also remained quite dark today so far, so it appears that the clouds above are full. Rain, sleet, hail or snow… I’m sure the clouds will let us have what they can’t hold, in whatever form, as they see fit.
I don’t mind the weather, whatever it decides to do it can do. Although I’d prefer not to be woken by it in the early hours for quite some time to come now…
Speaking of snow, I’ve done another Google image search, and found this picture which may or may not be on a Christmas card somewhere around the world…
