Take a minute!

Waves gently washing upon a shore
The wind gently rattling an old wooden door
Raindrops pattering on the window pane
Everyday sounds – and energy – all the same

Take a moment to sit and listen
Watch the raindrops as they glisten
See the bubbles within the tide
Let the wind take you for a ride

Join with the energy and become one
Everything around you is still going on
Sit back, rest, and chill for a while
Relax, daydream, let yourself smile

There’s no need to rush, no need for haste
This is your moment, use it at your pace
A rest when it’s busy is all that you need
To give you the energy so you can succeed

So, put on some music, sit yourself down
Remove those thoughts that make you frown
Take a minute, it’s all for the good
Do it every day – you know that you should!

What a beautiful Poem Tom, I was there watching the bubbles within the foam of the ocean.. I was there within that silent breath…… We need to find that peace even more so now..
Time is indeed speeding faster than ever… and we need to learn to slow down and catch our breath … and listen to the sounds of life… especially our thoughts… as they tick out of control at times.. We need to drink in that quiet time.. and fill those empty spaces with love and gratutide for those little bubbles, the flowers, the snow flakes, the bird song.. for we need to remember how grateful we are for we see them.. Many others dont even have that luxury …
A beautiful poem told from the heart.. Many thanks for sharing.. ~Dreamwalker

I’ll be echoing the rest with: what a lovely poem. I could just see and maybe even felt a little of that calming energy you talk about. I’m glad to see that you are writing about taking a minute off to just relax and chill, and to pace life in harmony with the energies of the earth 🙂

PS: Love the header and the music too!

    Hi Tom! 🙂

Yes, I dream better when I doze – far more vivid – and I tend to remember the dream better.

Last night I dreamed, but I couldn’t remember it when I woke up.

I know what you mean – I’m now in a constant battle with my need to dream and the need to get my butt out of bed and go shopping! 🙂

There are dozens of active vents across the planet, but the Canaries are a ‘hot spot’ and so is Iceland, so I guess we shouldn’t be surprised if some of these events attract news reports! 🙂

I had a world map on my wall when I was a kid and I marked on it all the active volcanoes on the planet, then used to flag each one that was reported to be erupting so I could see how things were going.

    It was quite an education…

    God Bless my friend! 🙂

Hi Prenin… I don’t know why, but I always thought the Canaries were dormant volcanoes… obviously not! Unless they’ve just reactivated which seems unlikely!
I have loads of vivid dreams, I write about the stranger ones in my blog occasionally, but the dozing dreams are the best!

I really like this poem, but the end really hit a nerve.

Oops… sorry about that, Miss D. I hope it hit a nerve in good way (if that’s possible?) – my intention was only to send out feel good vibes…

Good poem. We all should find time to relax. What’s the point in hurrying all the time? I always make sure I have time to relax everyday.

I try, I try, I really do. I also try to eradicate the word try from my vocabulary, but it is proving very difficult to do so! I’m getting so that I have a couple of relaxing minutes every day now, so it isn’t that bad, I suppose! 🙂
