One Minute Ramble: Summer’s Here…

flower1…How do I know that Summer is here? flower2

Apart from the warm temperatures, the glorious sunshine, the sticky nights, the long days and the blue skies…hay fever, that’s how! I thought I’d managed to avoid it this year, but no. I can feel it starting to make its annual appearance.

I can feel the sticking in the corner of my eye… the itch that needs to be itched; the ahh when the itch is itched; the vengeance of the itch when it returns. The swelling around the eyes. The redness of the eyes (inside and out)… Evil itch. EVIL.

path  I can feel the sneeze beginning to build. The tingling within the nose and / or throat. The watering of the already itchy eyes. The ear-piercing bellow as the sneeze escapes. The soreness of the nostrils and cheeks. Wretched sneezes. Reddened noses!

Followed by yet more eye watering… and itching… and ahhs… and twitching… and streaming… and sneezing… and vengeance. flower4

red eyeVengeance not from the itch this time, but in the form of hay fever tablets. One a day ‘non-drowsy’ miniscule pills to take in the morning. Every morning. Miniscule tablets that promise a rapid relief from the itching and sneezing and other symptoms associated with hay fever, without drowsiness.

There’s too much vengeance here. No wonder the hay fever is winning…

At least it’s Summer. Can’t complain…sun

um, can’t complain eh? Okey dokey, Sir Aquatom, hope the Hay Fever leaves you alone sometimes soon, or is that impossible? I don’t think I’ve ever been affected, judging by the list of eyes watering symtoms above, I was sneezing yesterday though, chopping IVY from atop my fence, the bitch just grows and grows , and is full of dust and insects and ….achoo, stuff!! … Full blazing sunshine today too, hope you can enjoy without the killjoy of the vengeance itch. … (669 this morning. Pen breathes a sigh of relief!!) xPenx

I read 669 and thought at first that it wasn’t that warm here in the sunshine this morning, and then I realised you meant your spam! Which has been wonderful today… and it wasn’t spoiled once!

oh hay fever, poor you! from what i’ve seen of sufferers it is really the worst.

the rain is keeping the pollen down here this year, so not as many people suffering.

It would appear that I was only suffering from it on the day I wrote this post. I know this isn’t true, but it sounds good! It can feel like having a really heavy cold sometimes, or very, very itchy at others.
This is another reason why I like the rain in summer!
