…News before it breaks…

Today’s Postaday topic is to make a prediction about next week. So, without using my trusty Crystal Ball, Oracle Cards, or patented Light Diffusion Technique ©, I will come up with one or two events to look out for…

Between Monday May 9th and Friday May 13th, I predict the following will take place somewhere on this glorious planet of ours, and will receive (possibly) some coverage in a local newsroom…

• A battle will commence within Europe, which will actually be in two parts. It will then spill over into a time outside of this permitted time period, with an epic third battle to the end. As to the victor, and as for the prize, all will be revealed at a later time…
• The dawning of a new era will be upon us from Friday. The definitions between old and new may become cloudy, but eventually all will become clear again.
• The Moon will neither be Full or New, but will feature prominently in some way.
• A little known country will be making the news from Thursday. Maybe not necessarily news around the world, but it will be making the news somewhere.
• A major company that deals with technology will find themselves in a bit of a pickle. And not the company you may be thinking of right now.
• There will be new life discovered. Or, evidence of very old life in fossilised form that has never been discovered before.
• Treasure will be in the news again, but will it be lost or found?
• A new craze will be introduced in a street in Nottingham, that will be taking the world by storm in 2078, and it is not dancing…
• A lady by the name of Mavis will know someone who knows someone who will win big on the Lottery.
• The world will end on Monday night. Before you panic, it will restart again on Tuesday morning, before ending again on Tuesday night; then restarting again on Wednesday morning. This pattern of endings and beginnings will then continue daily for the foreseeable future. Night shift workers may experience the endings and beginnings at slightly different times to the rest of the population, but there will be no escaping this phenomenon by anybody.
• A vegetarian salesman will secretly be filmed eating meat, causing outrage within certain communities. This will all be a marketing ploy by one of the fast food burger chains, and the salesman will later be proven not to be vegetarian at all. I’d recommend we just let this one slip by.
• There will be thunder, lightning, rain, wind and sunshine in several regions around the world.
• A major news story will break on Monday. A more important major news story will break on Tuesday. An even more important major news story will break on Wednesday. An event with the highest level of utmost importance will break on Thursday, which will be presented with a big red banner and bold lettering on screen. On Friday, everything will be back to normal in the newsroom, major events being left to their own devices.
• There will be a surprise win in a sporting event, and also a shock lose.
• There will be a nice, little, heart-warming news event every day to finish off the news bulletins.
