The Painting

So, I’m in a room full of very sticky cobwebs. There’s a box with an eerie green glow on the dusty sofa.

Expecting the box to explode or something, I glance up to the wall behind the sofa. There’s a painting of a man with a golden aura.

Now, as is the norm in a spooky environment, his eyes constantly look left and right, and follow me around the room.

But, odd as that is, that isn’t the oddest thing about the painting. In the background, stands an older version of The Mansion.

Standing on the steps is a very tall figure, and it looks like they are beckoning me to go over to them. Zooming in to the painting reveals nothing yet just looking at it the figure reappears.

The man’s gaze fixes upon my face. His head turns.

The top flaps of the box open widely, filling the room with the green glow.

I feel myself sliding along the floor, first in the direction of the open box, then I stop, turn to the left, and know that I’m being drawn into the painting.

An older version of the Mansion? So when the Mansion was younger? I sense some time travel in your future / past.

In any case, I think it’s too close to Halloween to opt out of this adventure, Tom!

Oops! You might want to get out of that painting Tom! You don’t want to be forever trapped in it!
