We're now far away ... as in over the hills and far away... The lands are flat and lush and green and fresh; very fresh The skies are blue with clouds with shadows on them The rustle from the trees as the breeze blows through them is melodic harmonic hypnotic A windchime nearby adds a gentle edge to the ambience Horses gather round Curious Friendly watching as we walk by along the path A cottage is welcoming so welcoming we walk in Inside is a large open fire Cinders crackle with the luxurious warmth We sit on a stool beside the fireplace Watching The flames flicker And dance And form shapes before our eyes We see a bird Perhaps a phoenix or an eagle The fire creature looks at us Friendly Knowing We watch as it opens its wings And flies up the chimney rustling Out into the beautiful blue sky with clouds with shadows on them Through the breeze And over the hypnotic harmonic melodic rustling from the lush green trees Over the windchime and the horses Over the path and down to a stream A babbling brook Musical bubbles bursting Over pebbles and rocks Waters clear and fresh very fresh We realise we are surrounded by all elements Earth Air Fire Water And with the crackle of the flames from the firebird's wings the rushing of the stream the swishing and the shushing from the trees and the shade from the shadows on the clouds We are one One with everything
We sit in the oneness for a while...
We bring our awareness back to ourselves
Back to the stool by the fireplace
Back to the path by the horses
Back over the hills
Back to the present the here the now
And we know that the far away bit is actually a lot closer than we first thought
