Puppets of Time

The ensemble sat motionless. Two minutes until curtain call. Lines not learned, strings not stretched, wires not connected. Frozen not by stage fright, but by design, they all faced forward.

The heavy red velvet curtains gathered as they began to rise.

The audience settled, sitting in an expectant silence.

Time to begin.

Four hours later, the final audience member left. The performance, wooden.

Motionless Throughout

Puppets of Time. Just as the billboard describes. Audience participation guaranteed.

Funnily enough, Diane, I’m sure there was a slice of wooden cake on the stack of plates there… someone’s mizzled it! 🙂
