One. Two. From the first one to the second two.

One.
Two.
The midnight hour.
One.
Two.
The second hour.

Do you know, I have no idea at times where the things I write come from. This six sentence poem about 2 o’clock in the morning is no exception. It isn’t even 2 o’clock in the morning yet! It’s another poetic post, though, for the Six Sentence Stories theme ‘second’ and the Poetry Slamdunk down at the Six Sentence Café & Bistro. It’s really just another play with words post!

The best things we write are those which we don’t give a second thought.

I’ve found that myself a few times, Ladysighs. I get carried away with my characters’ tales, trying to write down where they’re leading!

Let them roam wherever they want.

I do… then I have to help them out when they back themselves into corners… or pickles…

I totally agree with Miz Sighs.
The big challenge (for me) is to disable the filters and inner critics. Once they out of the way, the fun begins.

Or you could use those Inner filters as a form of dramatic lighting, Clark, and allow your inner critics to be the players… and write about them!

Ah, the nuit blanche (white night), when 2am is scrutinized.

Indeed! And then 3am… 3.30 am… 4am! 🤣 (only on some nights, however!)

That is so far the shorted six sentence poem I have read.

It may be challenging to get one shorter, Frank, although probably not impossible!

Indeed, Denise, and there are still a few hours to catch up with the sleep, too! 🤣
