Emileminary
The two trucks screeched to a stop on the car park spaces just in front of the main reception to the Elixir Spa Resort Hotel and Leisure Complex, sending fragments of grit and gravel in all directions β the Sambabus already taking up two other spaces as it too had been haphazardly parked.
Rust (still gripping Madam Valentine tightly, who never stopped complaining) and The Opposite Man got out of the blue vehicle, whilst Ellova Palava and Matthew Mist jumped down from the white one.
The Dropped Apostrophe approached them from the main door, having seen them drive in from the lounge window and eyes aglow at the two vehicles, clapped his hands together and said, βNew vehicles… amazing… we will be able to do three jobs at a time now!β
Ellova and Matthew made their way inside, and Madam Valentine hurt her foot again as she tried to dig her heel into Rustβs ironised shin; noticing the Apostrophe, and with a quick βowβ, she screwed her face, adding, βWhat do you mean new vehicles β these are my vehicles from my circus β they arenβt new vehicles?!β
βThey are now, my dear,β the Apostrophe smirked, nodding to The Opposite Man who walked passed him along the walkway, βanything that comes to the complex, including its grounds, and the people, belong to me -er- us, the Co-ordination of Supervillains… you may not be aware of that, but it is clearly stated on the signs dotted around the entire car park.β
He pointed at a couple of small signs that hung loosely from nearby lampposts; βItβs emileminary that you and the vehicles are now the Co-ordinationβs property… so you may as well stop complaining, stop struggling, get inside to reception and find your room… I also believe The Lady, Moonbeam, Jordan Grainger and Bubblegum want to have a word or two with you as well.β

Admission
In reception of the Elixir Spa Resort Hotel and Leisure Complex, Madam Valentine felt very uncomfortable signing her admission form as Jordan Grainger glared at her from behind the desk, and The Lady, Moonbeam, The Dropped Apostrophe, Ellova Palava, Matthew Mist, Rust and The Opposite Man crowded around her.
Bubblegum skipped into reception carrying a tray of her new batch of chocolate sweets, lalalaing as she walked, and sang, rather tunelessly, βoh swee eee eeets!β
βWhat now must I do…β Madam Valentine asked, her voice tainted with venom, βeat my way through you… whatβs next… canopies in the dining room?β
βWe always have sweeties when a new member joins,β Bubblegum said, her voice sounding quite dejected, βand this is my best batch yet… chocolate… citrus… and my special pizzazz!β
One by one, they took a sweet each and ate it, their faces contorting in ecstasy as the flavours literally burst in their mouths, and oddly inside their heads… The Lady had to grab a hold of Moonbeamβs arm for balance, as she had the very distinct feeling she was about to float off the ground coupled with an uncontrolled urge to lounge across it.
βTake another sweet, I insist this time,β Bubblegum thrust the tray in front of the gathered supervillains, forcing them (not that they needed any forcing) to ingest another; βIβm sure, as you all know I always say, everything will be as right as rain tomorrow, and the events, the feuds, the disagreements,β she looked at Moonbeam and Jordan, βthe awkwardness,β, she looked at The Lady and The Dropped Apostrophe, βthe rivalry,β, she looked at Madam Valentine, βthe tiger and the trucks, in fact everything that has happened over the past couple of days will be forgotten and we can start again as a brand new team…Β thanks to my little mind-altering essence, doubly enhanced as youβve all eaten two sweeties, yes… everything will be right as rain tomorrow…β

Six Sentence Stories. The challenge hosted by Denise at Girlie on the Edge where the aim is simpleβ¦ write a story in six sentences with a prompt word. This week, the prompt word is βloungeββ¦ and Iβve used it twice, in this weekβs double-bill! Thatβs two stories, six sentences each, each with the same prompt word (although with alternative meanings making it two different words in fact!) Itβs fun to be challenged.
The button below links to Deniseβs site, if youβd like to read more about it.
There will be another Co-ordination of Supervillains Six Sentence Story double-bill next Sunday (prompt word permitting!), which will tie up this first series of confusing capers. All other parts to this first series of stories can be found in my Storylines menu.
