If you dream of a room that shouldn’t be there,
Or a stranger you know with the fairest of hair,
Or of a time that isn’t now,
Or of a place that isn’t here,
You may have been visited by this sightseer
Starweaver floats through the dreams of the sleeper
Sometimes you wake, sometimes you drift deeper
Into a realm where anything exists
Where time lasts as long as your dream will persist
He watches events as your dream unfolds…
He guides you, he watches you,
He offers suggestions,
He lets you see things that you know you should question
He hopes that your dreams will help you feel good,
And he’ll make them come true
…
If only he could.
(A slight reworking of a post from 2013)
I’m not sure I want anybody sightseeing through my dreams.
Unless they pay for the tour. 😉

Ah, but Chris, did you not dream or did you not sleep? The latter may have been a result of a dream, the former, you may have slept deeper…

The usual touch of insomnia… you guessed it, those pesky characters keeping me awake!

You should warn them that the next time they do it, you shall bring insomnia to them… in ways only a writer can. That may help in the short-term.

I woke from a not-good dream today, but your poetry is beneficial 🙂

Good or bad, there’s always something in a dream that makes you think… it’s finding the good out of that that matters. 🙂
