All the same, with a difference

The more things change, the more they stay the same. Or something like that. Here’s the Lake recently, looking just as it always has, with a new visitor there, in the centre.

Here’s a closer look:

A friendly little thing, probably looking for food. (S)he was at the Lake for a couple of days, before moving off to lakes anew.

Posted for Six Word Saturday.

Some sort of gull? I don’t recognise that bird, Tom. Pretty plumage though.

It is a gull, Chris… a European Something-or-other 😊. I did find out what it was, but I’ve forgotten again 🙄. Apparently they are rare in the UK, but are increasing in numbers. This is also a baby one, so there must be others around somewhere! 🙂

What pretty and intricate markings on your visitor’s feathers! Nice shot. 🙂

Thanks, Diane. This little creature very kindly wandered over quite close… (s)he must’ve been watching the ducks.
