And I’m referring to the photo, not the subject of it. Oh: Warning: This post contains spiders!

This photo was taken a few years ago, when, for a couple of weeks or so, hundreds of these critters hung in their webs from wherever they could find. They were everywhere. Hundreds of them, wherever you looked. The atmosphere was very strange as well, as I recall. Then they all vanished as quickly as they arrived.

    1. I like spiders too, Jenanita, inside or out… when I know they’re there! If they creep up on me, well, I have been known to leap out of my skin on occasion! 🤣

  1. I don’t mind a spider, and this looks rather attractive. I had one in the garden which looked rather like a yellow and black Licorice Allsort and about the same size. I was sorry when she disappeared.

      1. Most of the wolf spiders I see are the young ones as they are small enough to get through the air vents. 🙂 ❤

Fun Fact: When two female wolf spiders meet, the babies they carry climb off, the adults fight and then both lots of baby spiders climb back onto the winner. 🙂 ❤

Blessed Be my friend! 🙂 ❤

  3. You should see the spiders webs in the early morning dew between the raspberries…. There webs alone are a fete of great engineering..
And they are mainly a gardeners friend… Though I have had one or two nasty bites now and again as I unwittingly disturb them.
Wolf Spiders though can grow huge, and while I over came my childhood fear of them, even I give them space.. 🙂
I remember talking to a fellow allotmenteer.. a lady as I saw something move near her foot.. A wolf spider crawled over her shoe…. I dare not tell her in case she panicked.. It crawled away into the grass…. I had one hidden in my Strawberry patch too, so made sure I had my garden gloves on when I picked in there…. 🙂 🕷🕷🕷🙏

    1. I like seeing spider’s webs 🕸 in the cold mornings, Sue, when they look perfectly made. They are intricately designed. The wolf spiders can startle you just a bit!
