The Unfinished Voyage

Deliberately left unfinished!

Day by day the Sun rises
The hours pass
The winds blow
The rains fall
People come and people go
Life goes on much the same
Not much happens
Hardly any change
Then we reach the crossroads
Or the waters become choppy
Or the air becomes turbulent
The journey ahead looks different
We choose a path
And go
Forwards ever forwards
Through storms
Through snow
Onwards ever onwards

Why have you left it unfinished Tom?

Because it is the voyage through life up to this point, Elaine. We can see ahead and we’re working forward, but we still have all that to come.
And I wanted to write something a little different and a little quirky. 🙂

I love your unfinished ‘symphony’, Tom. Life is just like your poem, but we just have to keep on going wherever it may take us.

Thanks, Sylvia. Yes, onwards ever onwards and all that – a cheery smile helps along the way as well! 🙂

All the different paths we’ve chosen and those we’ll need to choose in the future. And that’s only in this lifetime, in this universe… Someone’s been messing with my head 😉

    Good piece Tom. 🙂 ❤

Life is strange: We are dumped into reality, learn, grow and go in such a short time. 🙂 ❤

‘Man who is born of woman has not long to live’ as the bible says. 🙂 ❤

Enjoy it while you can. 🙂 ❤

    Blessed Be.

    Prenin.

Lovely poem that to me describes life as it is. The illustration is also beautiful, and reminds me that black-and-white (or shades of grey, rather) is just as charming and makes the details clearer.

I agree. Although I love colour, Halim, I also like the different viewpoint of a grayscale picture.
