Keeper of Dreams, Hider of Shadows

Old Mabel

The bay settled in the fading light,
Old Mabel shone brightly above.
The caves of the cove welcomed the night
And the shadows that they love.

The light of Old Mabel lit up the sky
And could be seen from miles around.
A friendly warning from up on high
To stop travellers running aground.

Old Mabel kept the dreams alive
Of those who heeded her call…
But those who ignored her gentle sighs
Into the shadows did fall

I’ve recently created a quick digital scribble over on Splodge and Splatter of a Stormy Night, and thought I would take that image and explore a little further for a post over here. From creation inspiration comes.

Thanks, Chris. I needed a little more creativity, that’s all!
