Climbing to the Top

This little critter stopped mid-climb to allow me to take this photo. It didn’t take too long, however, before the top was reached. The top of a nearby leaf, that is!

Another post for Becky’s Top Square challenge. I think I’m doing quite well finding all these tops!

      I don’t think I’ve ever been bitten by one of these critters, Prenin, but then they don’t usually bite when you’re looking at them!

    ooh are they the ones that suddenly arrive out of nowhere on your head or arm? Had a few this week do that in the garden, most disconcerting!

      I don’t think so, Becky. This is a shield bug, and they are quite large compared to other bugs… although if these were to suddenly land on you out of nowhere, it would be disconcerting! 😳😃

        ooh thanks for the name . . just looked them up. It is the one I am thinking of. Maybe the ones in Hampshire like landing on people!!

            Prefer the Cheshire ones . . . . . having read a bit more I am wondering if the ones I have are the non native ones. Apparently the southern green shield bug has made its way to SE England from mainland Europe, and are a pest unlike your photogenic ones
