This little critter stopped mid-climb to allow me to take this photo. It didn’t take too long, however, before the top was reached. The top of a nearby leaf, that is!
Another post for Becky’s Top Square challenge. I think I’m doing quite well finding all these tops!
If it is shaped like a leaf, then be wary because the little buggers bite! 🙂 ❤
Excellent quality photograph!!! 🙂 ❤
Blessed Be.

I don’t think I’ve ever been bitten by one of these critters, Prenin, but then they don’t usually bite when you’re looking at them!

And, oh! Thank you, by the way! 😊

ooh are they the ones that suddenly arrive out of nowhere on your head or arm? Had a few this week do that in the garden, most disconcerting!

I don’t think so, Becky. This is a shield bug, and they are quite large compared to other bugs… although if these were to suddenly land on you out of nowhere, it would be disconcerting! 😳😃

ooh thanks for the name . . just looked them up. It is the one I am thinking of. Maybe the ones in Hampshire like landing on people!!

In Cheshire, they just pose for photographs! 😁

Prefer the Cheshire ones . . . . . having read a bit more I am wondering if the ones I have are the non native ones. Apparently the southern green shield bug has made its way to SE England from mainland Europe, and are a pest unlike your photogenic ones

I have a photo of a lovely purple one somewhere as well, that too waited for its photo! They may be pests, but not the ones I’ve met! 😊
