The short days are now making the time feel as though it is whizzing by faster than ever, and it was already whizzing by at an exponential rate before we had to turn the clocks back to usher in Greenwich Mean Time once again.
The thing is, I feel so out of whack with time right now its untrue. I find myself idly waiting, sitting doing hardly anything, when suddenly time appears to say ‘you have five minutes exactly now to complete this task’.
I ask, ‘time, why didn’t you come to me earlier to say this, instead of leaving it up to the last minute to do so?’
And time replies, ‘it isn’t me making you rush.’
Obviously, time’s right.
Only not here at the Mansion. Each clock is set at a different time since the clocks went back. And although that is still my fault, I can blame time just a little for that one. I mean, I really can’t, blame time, as it really is just doing its thing, but if I can pass time by changing time and waste time writing about time, time can bear some of the burden.
This time I’m sticking to it.
And in time, I’ll know exactly what that it is.
A timely Six Word Saturday post.
