One’s Ache

If one’s ache was one ache, one’s ache would be fine,
But one’s ache is lots of aches, here and there, at the same time.
Another ache aches when another ache aches
Making one ache in anticipation of another.
Moving painstakingly to prevent aches
Creates headaches and more aches,
And if one mistakes one ache for a different one,
Well, that creates a whole new headache altogether.
If one allows an ache
To take
The ache
It takes
To break the ache
And make the ache
Better
Takes longer…
And it’s an agonising wait
To wait
For the ache
To break.

Especially if the ache is from a break, in which case waiting for this ache to break can be an agonising wait,
For the time it takes to break an ache from a break can be an ache… and it’s best to just sit back and take a break
And let the aches tend to themselves.

Make no mistake. I aches.

But I tend not to think about them often. (Ahem).

Reading this made my head spin, Tom. You must have needed a morphine drip after writing this!

Drip, LA? Drip? I needed a torrent!
Sorry about the head spinning, however.

Thanks, Prenin. Sometimes, the ache becomes pleasant – no – comfortable – after a while… and that’s just odd!

You made me think of Dr. Seuss… with arthritis. 😉

😀 Thanks, Diane. I used to love Dr. Seuss.
… I click as I kick as I lean on my stick, with a kick that’s slick and a click that’s hip… and it’s my hip that clicks as I slickly kick, leaning slickly on my stick.
Not that that love shaped me or anything… 😉
