Down at the Dark End of the Lake

Time is a little on the short side at present.

Not as short as with last night’s post, which owing to a computer malfunction resulted in the Magical Mystical Moonset rhyme being dramatically cut short to the well used phrase ‘Just Because’.

I thought I’d share with you another view of the Lake, this time, the ‘Dark End’. This is the place where the creatures tend to lurk… unseen, yet not exactly unheard.

Grunts are carried across the uncannily still waters at this side of the Lake. Unclear shadows can be seen darting beneath the surface of the water. Strange lights illuminate the Far Banks. Bubbles suddenly burst from out of the water, and then disappear into the night air.

The wind whispers inaudible words as it skims the surface of the water, the resulting ripples answer with equally meaningless sounds.

The odd squawk resonates through the darkening shadows, but whether warning, victory or defeat only the one that made the call knows. And possibly the one that caused it.

And distant thunder rumbles in a cloudless sky.

It’s a very odd place down at the Dark End.

Pretty creepy looking…It almost looks like the water should bubble and steam like a cauldron and dinosaurs should be flying overhead…Best stay away TL…. VK

That’s the interesting side of the Lake, VK, where the water does bubble and dinosaurs indeed fly as you say… and the Sinister Bunnies hop! It doesn’t look like it does in the picture very often!

[…] Down at the Dark End of the Lake was merely about the end of the Lake that doesn’t get much light, apart from the odd ones on the opposite bank, that is. […]
