Perfect timing?

Timing. It’s good to get it right, and can be disastrous (at times!) if a split second out.

One aspect of great timing I love is synchronicity, and the synchronistic events I experience regularly. I always say that these occurrences are the Universe’s way of telling me that I’m in the right place at the right time. Simple things such as me reading a word at the very same time someone else says it; or the latest synchronistic event I experience at present, at road junctions.

I’ve noticed that whenever I either reach a junction or drive passed one, another vehicle arrives at it at the very same time as me. If I need to drive out of a junction, I always have to wait for a car to pass before I can do so. And if I drive passed a junction, there is always a car that arrives and has to wait for me to pass before it can do so. I’ve noticed this for the last couple of days, but can guarantee that this has happened at every single junction since Monday at least.

It’s very peculiar, the things you suddenly start to notice at times.

Yes, I know that the chances are quite high that, due to the amount of traffic on the roads nowadays, it is likely that there will be another car at another junction at some time or other, but equally high are the chances that there will not be a car there… this week, I’ve ‘met’ another vehicle at every single junction I pass, whatever time of day I pass it.

…Just rambling, really.

My letter to the Universe yesterday worked, I’m pleased to say, although I didn’t doubt that it would. I didn’t experience a single dillop on the roads today, and there were a fair few motorists driving pleasantly, which really makes all the difference. A little more courtesy on the roads goes a very long way. I’m grateful the Universe helped me with this request, and I would like this to continue indefinitely, if you could be so kind, Universe.

Speaking of yesterday’s letter, the weather today has also been lovely. Just the warm sunshine, with a gentle breeze, and not a lick of an out of season hailstorm in sight. Fabulous.

My third part of the letter referred to my television. I have an extra thing to add here, which actually ties in with the title of today’s post, ‘perfect timing’. Although, perfect for who remains to be seen.

I enjoy watching TV with my evening meal. It helps me to relax watching quiz shows with questions I can’t answer, mixed in with questions where the answers remind me of something that I meant to do before I sat down – synchronicity again, and all that.

The point I need to get to, however, is the adverts. Always at teatime do they show either an image of ear-wax being dissolved, somebody shaving flakes of dead skin off the heel of their foot, or somebody with an advanced fungal toenail infection applying the latest cream or whatnot. Now, I’m well aware that these products need to be advertised, and where there is no perfect time for such products, the least perfect time must be when one is about to tuck into a bacon, lettuce and tomato butty.

You’d think in this day and age, and with the wonders of modern digital TV technology, they’d come up with a feature where you press the blue button during an unsavoury advert which removes the advert from the screen, and remembers that we don’t like that advert so never shows it again. The screen time can be filled with a blue screen or static – I don’t mind – as long as I can eat and manage to swallow at the same time without being put off by a ghastly image.

Or maybe I’m ahead of technology here. There may never be a perfect time for such a device… I can hear the advertisers of the world saying.

I don’t watch much TV, just the news channel and ‘Thunderbirds are Go’ which I tape.

The rest of the time I am racing, working on the PC, or doing the housework! 🙂

Hope you have a great week my friend and good luck with the synchronicity!!! 🙂

    God Bless!

    Prenin.

      Thank you once again, Prenin.
I lost interest in Thunderbirds Are Go when they showed the premiere, I’m afraid to say, but equally it may have just been me not giving it chance…

Whoever invents that blue-screen will be a millionaire, if the advertisers don’t hunt him down and kill him. I rarely watch TV, but when I do Hubby is so fast on the remote that I never even see an advertisement. Life is good…

Ah, Diane. I’m even more envious now. No dillops and no adverts. I’d best get my inventor’s hat on, I guess. I’ll invent the blue screen discreetly, so the advertisers will never find me.

I love your idea for a button to remove unsavoury adverts! If I had that facility, it would be well used!!

It must be invented soon, Elaine. Together with the Cold Caller Zap button to get rid of those nuisance phone calls. Maybe they could come in one package. Hmmm… 😉

Perfect – two troublesome things dealt with in one product.

Oh, by the way, Icewolf… I’ve written a six part six-thousand-word story which I’m planning on publishing on the blog – but not until later in the year… around Halloween, actually. One of the characters in the story is called ‘Icewolf’, and she’s a blogger. She isn’t you or based on you in any way, shape or form, but I must ask if it’s OK to use your name in the story as there is obviously a similarity. If not, it’s OK and I’ll just edit it a little, there’s plenty of time until October. Obviously, I shall link to your blog if it is OK to use your name when the post / posts are published. Please let me know. (She’s quite heroic in a leap-to-rescue kind of way and also goes by the name Judith; but that’s all I can say at present. She’s a good character.)

Of course you can use my name Tom! I have no claim to that part of it anyway 😉 I’m sure I’m not the only user of it….the Europa’s bit is a little bit different and I may yet officialise that as my paid for domain name but that’s as and when. And Tom….if she’s heroic and leap to the rescue type of person then of course she’s based on me!!!!! lol lol 😉 Well! Gotta try haven’t I?!! lol 🙂

          Fabulous, Icewolf!
I must have tapped into that side of you when I was writing her, I suppose. She isn’t meant to be based on you, but there may be a similarity that you may notice. Just coincidental if you do, however! 😉

🙂 I like the add on Channel 4 when they have no adds to fill in the space. They show a living flame fire for 2 minutes 🙂

Hope all is well with you Tom.. sending thoughts your way

I haven’t seen the living flame ad… I shall have to look out for it!
