I watched it
Dancing and weaving
Gaining new heights
Casting long shadows
On the darkest of nights
Soaring then stopping
Then soaring again
Shimmering
Pulsating
Strobing, and then
Away
…Into the distance it went…

Lovely poem Tom.. I remember when about 11 or 12 years old living in our village a bunch of us kids spotted something really weird one winters night none of us could explain.. Also just after we saw it a small electric substation blew a fuse or something 🙂 It was in a field near our homes.. It sent sparks a flying…. scared the hell out of us all, We all swore it was a UFO.. And all ran home.. None of us went out the following night.. 😀

There’s a lot that we see and can’t explain Sue, so our minds fill in the blanks for us, but from you’re description I’d say it was a UFO that you saw that night. Well, it was flying, and you couldn’t identify it… and the substation explosion was too much of a coincidence, I feel.

Yes and we did have a helicopter in the area the next day which was a Very unusual sight for our neck of the woods.. 🙂 I guess it would be in the early 60’s when it happened..

There’s a UFO at the top of your blog! I do like the new banner but I hope it’s not going to go soaring through the night sky! 🙂

So do I, Icewolf. Well, it can as long as I’m not posting a new post or replying to comments or anything… it would end up dragging me along, and I don’t feel like doing that just at this moment…
