The more things change, the more they stay the same.
Sadly, the image above isn’t, as you may have thought, one of the latest pictures from an orbiting Martian probe highlighting the sudden growth of a lush, dense forest over the northern hemisphere of the red planet. It’s actually another Selfie of me. Is that proper English? I don’t know anymore.
Selfies seem to be all the rage right now, although I may be holding the camera slightly wrong compared to some. But, if a bunch of celebrities can squeeze themselves into a Selfie and fit, there has to be an opposite in the world, and I like to think this is it – the Selfie where one doesn’t fit exactly into the picture.
I like this kind of Selfie, even if it does show how things are going to be in few weeks. Already, I can see the severe flick taking shape on top. A haircut may be on the cards once more, methinks.
Anyhoo, this post isn’t exactly about me. It kind of is with regards to the blog, which is mostly about me (of a fashion) or my thoughts, but it isn’t really meant to be. It’s about change.
I’m forever trying to find the right look for my blog, which is pleasing to me and my 3.65 readers alike. I did add million in there, but decided to keep things real (almost a first for this blog!) I like the black look – the darker the better, although at times I need to have extra lighting around me to be able to see what I’m tryping. See what I mean?
Anyway, I thought I’d found a good landing stage with this theme and the yellow text. I added a new ‘header’ (I shall use that term loosely, although in no way does it refer to the image at the beginning of this post) and a new catchy ‘jongle’ (LIGHTS!) to sum up this place… “There’s always something…”.
Never has anything more true been uttered. Whilst I was meandering around the Grinds earlier, looking for further places that I couldn’t get into or places that shouldn’t have been there, I decided to check out my blog on my trusty mobile phone.

To the left is an example of how my blog currently looks when I hold my phone upright. The text quality on my mobile phone is so much better than that in the image, but it has been reduced to appear on this blog. Not that I have a massive mobile phone or anything.
Yes, you’re right. You could be mistaken in thinking that this blog is called ‘the’ if viewed from an upright mobile phone… with ere’s always something as a subtitle. Not the catchiest of blog names that, even if I do say so myself.
But that isn’t the only problem. Oh no.
My mobile phone has a novel feature that flips the screen around depending on which way you look at it. So sometimes the blog is long and narrow, and other times it’s short and fat. There are other devices around with similar functionality.
When I looked at my mobile phone width-ways, I saw:

‘hin the Sph’… Maybe ‘thin the Sph’ at a push. At least the dubtitle is fully visible here, but even so (Excuse me, LIGHTS!) the header needs to be there to make the reader think wow! where am I? and not just simply where am I?
Headers aside, I need my blog to look and feel the same wherever it is viewed. Granted, the posts themselves are as varied as the great British weather pattern, and make sometimes just as much sense, but I’d rather them come across the same on any device. As this theme, Suits, good as it has been, doesn’t respond too well to my liking, I am sorry to say it is going to have to be changed once again.
So, I’m giving you, my entire readershio fair warning that things will look different once again around here. I apologise for any inconvenience caused during the refurbishments, and will do my very best to keep disruption to a minimum.
LIGHTS!!!
The more things change, the more they stay the same. But not necessarily around here…
