Snow in the desert

I’ve turned the snow on once again this year. Well, I kept it on from last year, actually, and it came on by itself the other day.

Sometimes, it feels like being in an extreme blizzard the snowflakes are dropping at such immense speeds, but I’m putting that down to the access problems I’m currently experiencing and the snowflakes are feeling they have to make up for the times I can’t see them falling when the No Data Received error message occurs.

Reading this post in June will probably make no sense whatsoever, because by then the snow would most certainly have been switched off again, considering the official switch off date is / was January 4th. Having said that, though, if it were to snow in the desert I’m guessing it probably wouldn’t be noticed anyway, and the scene may be as is.

Incidentally, the snow I mentioned in a recent post vanished without a trace as well. One day of snow and then no more. It’s even getting warmer now. It won’t be long until the days start to get longer again, just a few more weeks, and then, eventually, Winter will fade away once more.

Reading this post in June will now undoubtedly make no sense, as my most recent posts by then probably won’t even mention the snow… unless it does snow in June, and then they probably may.

For those readers reading this post in June, don’t worry. It has been written intentionally to make no sense when read in June, but make perfect sense when read in December.

And you can tell that it has been written in December by the date of the post. That and the fact that I’m now going in search of a Christmas tree for the blog. I’ve lost my other one.

So, for the First of December (White Rabbits!) I present, with a bit of techno-magic, ‘Snow in the desert’. If it posts, that is…

My page started snowing too. Guess It’s because it was switched on last year…or was it the year before?

      It could have been Tess.
I quite like the snow myself.

Ha ha. Reminds me of what might or might not be happening outside my window.

I always turn my snow off. It reminds me of dandruff.

Now that you mention it, LA… You’ve just reminded me that I haven’t done a hair post in quite some time as well…

White snow falling on a white page… 🙂

I had to use the https: prefix again to get on your blog Tom! 😦

WordPress is messed up AGAIN… 😦

    God Bless!

It’s a discreet snowy look this year, Prenin. Subtle snow.
I don’t understand how it works some of the time, but not all… and how it can affect the fact that we appear not to be logged in, when we are. It’s all very baffling.

Thanks, Shree! And yes! I’ve got the snow on this year, but it isn’t as easy to see now that I have the white background. Still the odd snowflake or two are visible!

How many toddy’s did we have before writing that post TL? Hope you find your Christmas tree and it stays there once you put it up!!! Any luck on getting things straightened out? Hope so soon. Merry, merry my friend…..VK

Not one toddy, VK. I just allowed the words to appear with that one… and we were taken on a rambling time trip or something. I still think snow in the desert would be cool though.
I’m hoping the problems are nearing resolve. The forums advise this is a temporary patch, but the legal department is liaising with other bodies to clear the problems once and for all. That sounds official, doesn’t it?! I hope it’s sorted properly soon.

My snow came on, but I’ve temporarily turned it off again because I have a video on my post today, and when I played the video, it made the snow stop, not disappear, but just freeze where it is, including over the top of the video, and I didn’t want that! I’ll put the snow back on again in a couple of days once the initial flurry of comments is over! (Did you notice how I got the words “freeze” and “flurry” into this comment?)

I shall try to check out your snowless video soon, Vanessa. I’m making sure this dastardly technical hitch is resolved before I go a-visiting, it’s rather frustrating getting No Data Received on every page I visit!
And I’m very impressed with how you interspersed your comment! (If you read that again, you may notice that I secretly added the word ‘winter’ there!) Hehehe!!!!

It saves having to search for it through the dashboard, Sarah. That’s a good ten minutes saved there, I’d say!

Icewolf, you can go back as often as you like! Beware, though, you can get VERY used to time travelling. It has a certain pull…
