Artificial Wonderland

Scene 5
Ornamental deer, pine cone for a tree
Shiny, flattened foil that looks so river-y
Cotton wool for land, twigs for branches here and there
All make up a winter scene that can be taken anywhere
Life inside this snow globe is calm and gentle, see?
Shake, and watch the snow fall so relaxingly
Once all is settled, all is still, things are like before
However life inside the snow globe will be still for ever more…

I love this, Tom: a feeling of artificiality which becomes clear at the end. Nice decs, by the way. I’ve had an insanely busy week and not got over here to admire them before now. Love the look.

Thanks, Kate. I’m just trying out my Twelve Days of Christmas look, I’m not sure about this one… I’m pleased you like my rhyme. I wanted to play with words and colour with this one, and when I found the image (on Google) I thought I’d try t turn it into a globe. I know all about busy times, Kate… 😉

Nice poem Tom! You should write a story about the snow globe too! (Yes, I’m back to catching up on blogs and starting from the last and moving back..hehe!) It must have taken some work to painstakingly colour the words..its looks lovely!

Hi Shree, I use Windows Live Writer, which is almost a WYSIWYG editor. Almost, but not quite. So it doesn’t take long to add colour to the letters.
I was thinking about writing something about the snow globe after I wrote the rhyme… we’ll see…

How lovely and creative of you to give this expression of ornamental treasures. You got the spirit moving around. Good to see the festive decorations you have done here…well done Aquatom.
Smiles with a big warm feathery hug to you!
