Thank you, Andro.
For some reason it looks as though my ‘follow’ thingy was cancelled for your site and I wasn’t getting any updates when you posted… I reinstated it late last night, and will be round to have a read of your latest offerings in due course. I’m not ignoring you by any means!LikeLike

Now, how on this Earth did you manage to filch Hortense’s hat Sir Aquatom? either that or it’s a doppelganger, she’ll be ever so narked if it’s the real thing, been feeling a bit strange recently?… eyes following you?… that’s Morris her spider, (King Morris) He’ll be casing Aquatom Mansion, and leaving his webs here there and every-whereabouts.. (and no.. not roundabouts!!) … anywho, can’t worry about that now, just reading about All Hallow Eve, you got a thing about penny’s eh?… (See a penny pick it up, all that day you’ll have good luck.., NOT TRUE.. ‘cos good luck would’ve meant you seeing a pound…now wouldn’t it? stand’s to sense) … 😀 xPenx

Do you know, Pen, the hat was given to me by a spider, whose name was Boris (I think that was what he said) – I get along very well with spiders now since my -erm- alter ego’s rescue of one the other week in the Co-op. There’s plenty of webs in Aquatom Mansion, Lady P, and not only in the cellar; and I always feel eyes following me. I think people recognise me from somewhere (well, that’s what I tell myself anyway; I hope I haven’t got two heads or anything). Finding pounds, lots of them, would be a great stroke of luck! Only time will tell if this will happen…

he mumbles. Sir A, so no wonder you got his name wrong… it’s an affliction caused by his horror of humans, other than Hortense of course… ‘cos he said the last one he came across tried get him in a supermarket.. whilst he was web shopping, (nicking stuff ) actually threw him outside before he’d managed to filtch a few things in his ‘string’ bag.
Two heads eh?… Nah, someone would’ve said by now, you know how people like to point out the obvious… ‘did you know your hair was on fire?… did you know you were handcuffed to that policeman?.. um… no ignore that one… ’twas a little misunderstanding. I was helping ‘Boris’ carry his shopping.. xxLikeLike

I wonder who could have done that to a poor little spider? It’s terrible the things that happen nowadays, Pen. Luckily there are people (who want to remain nameless) who help and usher spiders out of harms way, unlike those who fling them out as though they are a piece of rubbish. And littering is terrible too!
I’m so glad that I don’t have two heads. My hair is enough on one of them, never mind two!
It may not be Hortense’s hat after all, as this one has strange lettering under the rim, and inside the hat itself. I can only make out some of the letters… P R O (unclear) T Y (unclear) S E. Any ideas?LikeLike

I love it! a halloween post, a perfect little adorable poem Tom, and I love the hat too!
Did you make the halloween banner at top? It’s absolutely wonderful!!!!!! 🙂
Wish you a great day, Nikki xLikeLike

Hi Nikki! And thank you!
I did make the banner, but from ‘bits and bobs’ found while browsing the net. It seems to have developed a life of it’s own, and changes slightly everyday…
I’m pleased you liked my little variation on another well known rhyme. I wanted a little something to start the Halloween season off… and the hat is ‘borrowed’, shall we say… 😉LikeLike
