Wyvern’s Plea

Wyvern's Eye
If you think I’m a dragon                                        But pay attention
More fool you                                                        Look up and down

Dragons have four legs                                       You may see my images
I have two                                                             All around town

I have long strong wings                                      If it’s a dragon
And a sharp barbed tail                                        That you think you see

Try to find me                                                        Remember the Wyvern
You will surely fail                                                 Remember me

A very well written and detailed posting,
not just with the wording that you offer but
also in the design… Excellent Aquatom 🙂

I love it. It’s mysterious and random…and we all need something mysterious and random in our lives! 😀 Wonderful work.

Love the shading of the colours, Sir Aquatom, almost bleeding like.. and the Wyvern taking umbrage at being mistaken for a Dragon. (Fyrespike is wondering why he should, I mean (he says) we’re such a gorgeous lot) … um. are you sure he’s not a thingummy bob… which turns you into stone? .. ‘cos I can’t move after staring into his strangely compelling eyes.. I feel as if my arms can’t fi……. thinks gadzooks,,,,I’m held in stasis I wonder if anyone’ll notice 😉 xx

Between you and me, Pen, I didn’t know Wyverns existed… I thought they were all dragons. Fyrespike is right (please say Hi by the way!); they are a gorgeous lot! As for the thingies, well, I thought it was Medusa that turned you to stone… more research is needed on my part, I think. (I discovered this Wyvern looking for 1642 facts, bizarrely!) Thanks for commenting, Lady P!

Basilisks … Sir A, They can kill at a glance apparently. … AND I’ve met them ..sort of… in my favourite PC Game, and of course Harry Potter. (do not like the Name Cockatrices… makes me shiver for some reason. ) and happy questing, the 1642 search goes on… xx

You’re right, Pen, Wyverns are like Basilisks (and Griffins as Jen mentioned) but slightly different. I don’t think Wyverns are harmful… this one wasn’t anyway! Cockatrices sounds more like a tropical disease to me… And yes, my search continues… and I continue to be thrown off in different ways as well! Makes the learning more interesting though! 🙂

Hi Jen, no I don’t think he’s the same, Griffins have the body of a lion and head of an eagle… although some of their images look like a Wyvern!
No, I didn’t get a cold, thanks for asking… my nose is fine now. Knee’s OKish. Have a good Tuesday yourself! 🙂
