I don’t know what made me think of writing about my bucket list… one moment, I was thinking desperately hard for a topic – any topic – to write about, and the next moment the idea of the bucket list appeared in my mind. The Bucket List is a film, apparently from 2008, starring Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman. I haven’t seen it, so I don’t know whether it is any good or not. The idea behind the story is a wish list of things to do before dying. I thought at first it was a bit gloomy, but then I thought a little more about it.
I am a firm believer in the Law of Attraction, and use Cosmic Ordering almost every day, and I write about these whenever I can. I was thinking what if the Bucket List could be a ‘big scale’ Cosmic Order? Now, the Laws of the Universe are literal. What you think about you bring about, so I am starting my Bucket List with a clear message to the Universe that once I have achieved / completed / experienced the things that I eventually list, it isn’t an invitation for me to move to the next plane of existence just yet. In other words, I want to achieve what is on my list, but I don’t want to die soon afterwards – I will have other things to add to the list at some time in the future.
I’m not sure whether the list needs to be open ended or not, but this is my Bucket List, so it is.
The way how the Law of Attraction works is that we need to be clear about what we want. We need to see ourselves having, being or doing what it is that we are wanting. Not hoping that one day we will be at that place, but actually seeing ourselves being there already. A little make believe if you like, so we are in the correct feeling place now for the Universe to use it’s magic and bring to us what we want.
When I want enough money for something, I get it. When I want some kind of inspiration I get that too. I’m already in the correct feeling place for the Universe to bring those things to me. When I want more than enough money that I don’t know what to do with, or I want someone to come along and say “That’s a good idea, let’s turn it into a TV show”, I don’t get them because I am not feeling the correct way for what I am wanting for the Universe to bring to me. It’s a subtle difference, but a Universal one, when you think about it.
So, my Bucket List.
My Empty Bucket List…
I don’t know what I want.
I don’t want to write about what I don’t want, because the Universe is positive and doesn’t listen to nots and don’ts and nos. It will see that my attention is on the thing that I don’t want, ignore that I don’t want it, and bring it to me anyway.
So, my Bucket List is a positive list of the things that I want.
But …I don’t know what I want. I’m not helping myself or the Universe this way. This really highlights how we can wish for things at times and get something completely different. If we don’t know what we want, how can the Universe know?
So, I’m looking out for positive things that I can add to my Bucket List. When I find one, I will add it to my list. When I experience it, I will mark it so on the list.
And just to be clear, my Bucket List is a list of things that I want to have, be or do throughout my life, and not before I die. Again, a subtle difference but a specific difference all the same.
I’ll create a new page for my Bucket List when I finally start to use it. Looking out for positives isn’t a bad thing to do in the meantime…
