Noticing connections

What can it mean? I’ll tell you what it means! This is the last post in my mini-challenge-within-a-challenge. It has been a week already, and each day I have included the various required elements in each of the posts. So, to complete the challenge:

Lilac Pear Hull Fay Wray Kraken Boing One hundred and fifty Shiny penny! Open-mouthed smile

There! Done! Complete!

OK, I can see that you may think that is something of a cop out so I don’t have to include those words into my post, but if you have a closer look, they are there, included in my post! And my challenge was to have my posts include the words, not that they have to be part of a sentence or anything. He he. Opt out clauses are great at times, aren’t they? And I did start the post with the last sentence from yesterday’s post, so it got off to a good start anyhow!

So, I finally declare this challenge over! It was fun, and not as difficult as I thought it was going to be. A chain of posts all connected by the first and last sentences, and a variety of subjects within, yet completely different from each other. I like different. And I like connections.

**********

In fact, I love finding connections between things. The connections give me a sort of clarity to what it is I am looking at the connection for. And, I know that that sounds as though I am looking for something that is already there, but sometimes you can look directly at something and not see it at all. At least with the connection there is the ‘ah’ moment. The realisation that the link is there.

The reason why I’m writing about connections is really to reiterate to myself that there is a connection between everything. A connection between my thoughts and my reality. A connection between my dreams and my ‘real’ life. A connection between the Moon and the Earth. A connection between systems running smoothly and systems failing. A connection between good things and better things. And a connection between the me of today, and another version of me back in 1642.

Yes, this whole week has been about connections. And if I can connect the days together by writing completely separate posts yet manage to connect them together, I can find any link with anything.

The first major link I am looking for is the one to 1642. Knowing that I will find the link makes the quest somewhat easier. I will find the answer that I am seeking. At the right time, I will find one piece of information that will fill in all of the blanks, answer all of my questions, and reveal to me the truth that I have been searching for over the past few months.

However, this is not the right time, as yet. My search continues. My quest continues.

Even though I can’t see the connection, I know that it is there. The belief behind the knowing is the key. The belief is the secret to finding answers, receiving everything that is needed, being open for the universe to use it’s magic to ensure we are there at the time the connection is made.

And thinking about it, what are the odds of being at the exact same place and time when a ‘random’ coincidence occurs? Yet we are there, time and time again. We witness these connection points every day. We know that they happen. We know that they exist.

So, if we want to witness a miracle, see a shooting star, find an answer to a particular question or receive inspiration for something, believing that we will achieve these things is allowing us to be open for that random connection point. And once we have the connection, we have what we are looking for.

What can it mean? It means we can do whatever we want to do. And with belief, we can do it quicker and better. Or maybe that’s just me?

I agree connection do exist, and to do with so much randomness about must mean something when they happen.
Carry On with your quest Sir Aquatom, I am right behind you. Well, in front of my PC actually, but right behind you in spirit. (have I died? NO one said anything?) …anyway, glad you finished your mini challenge within a challenge… xPenx

Thanks, Pen. Here’s an odd thing… you are not the first person to(recently) mention to me the question ‘Have I died?’ in regards to themselves. It’s strange just how many of these ‘random’ things repeat themselves…

Thank you for pushing me onwards!

I believe in connections too! I don’t think things that happen to us or in life is random. It always happens for a reason. SOmetimes the reasons are glaringly visible sometimes they hide in shadows.

Thanks, Shree… most of my happenings, the random ones, usually take a bit of investigative digging to find the connection, but they are there! The others are usually brought about by something I have done… I’m always somewhere in the mix!

glad to see other people noticing the connections as well. i live my life based on coincidence and it has improved inexplicably since i started so, a random string of events lead me to this page as a matter of fact. Carl Jung has some thoughts you might enjoy reading.

Thank you for commenting, Ryan. I experience lots of coincidental events every day – when I first started noticing them, I was a little spooked – but now I love them! Random strings of events make you stop and wonder if they are really ‘random’ after all; but thinking that way can mean you end up with the thoughts going round and round, which is also fun if you like thinking that way!
