Fabulous fantasy!

I like to think that I have a very good imagination.

When I was younger I used to imagine myself as a pirate, a swashbuckling hero who always managed to find the gold. Or I was a super hero intent of ridding the world of baddies everywhere. Or, I’d be someone else… In all honesty, I liked those adventures I had when I was little. Secretly, I think back to my days as a pirate when I’d say things like “Ooh Arrgh, Me Hearties” to a stuffed donkey, or I’d rescue Ted from the clutches of the dastardly Action Man, in my cunning disguise as Wonder Boy.

I find myself flying over the town, landing on treetops or tops of buildings keeping a watchful eye on the citizens below. I only do this at night, as I don’t want to be seen. Well, you don’t see many people flying of their own steam, do you? Maybe this has something to do with my fascination with vampires too. Come to think of it, I don’t know what people would think if they did see me. A pale pirate flying around with a W on his chest and a strange smile. At night. If I saw me, I’d feel safe. But I’m biased.

My town is sometimes my town. Sometimes it is Gotham. Metropolis. Smallville. London. Blaenau Ffestiniog. Any town in the Caribbean. Any town in the world. Any town under the sea. Any town on another planet. I can go anywhere.

I can do anything. I can see through the darkness. I can hear beyond the echoes. I can vanish in the blink of an eye. I am hypnotic. I can remember everything. I have a fabulous smile. I am a duplicate of myself. A triplicate. A quadruplet. I am me to the power of a hundred. I am magical. I am mystical. I am musical. I am medical. I am medieval. I am majestic. I am a ruler, a leader, a follower and a guide. I am a helper and a cultivator. I am predictable yet different.

I am like the changing of the seasons, fluid.

I am like the animals in the wild, yet tame.

But, I am also like a lifetime, limited.

I can create my own reality. I can create my own worlds. I can create my own situations.

Sometimes, the situation can only be fantasy, and I am well aware of that. We have to be realistic sometimes.

Sometimes, the situation can become very real, if I so wanted it. Now there’s a fantastic thought.

Innermost dreams becoming reality? Can that be fact or is it fantasy?
