Today, I wrote a short poem…

“Work like you don’t need the money”
Is a phrase that sounds kind of funny
But you’ll have more fun
Because what you’ll have done
Is made your outlook more sunny!

Can happiness be measured by age?
Or does it depend on the wage?
Be happy now
You’ll soon shout “Wow!”
And feel goodness you can’t even gage!

When will things start to seem better?
Tomorrow, the day after, or later?
Only you can decide
How long you will ride
On your journey, with the problems you set you.

Have fun with whatever you do,
Live your life how it tends to suit you.
Life’s meant for living!
For getting and giving!
And experiencing great things too!

Many apologies to all the great poets and limerickists(?) out there… I’m in a bit of a limerick mood this evening. In fact I’ve entered a limerick writing competition today (not with any of the above, I hasten to add) and thought I’d have a go at writing a few feel good limericks.

Part of life is about creation, about bringing something new into the world. Although it is true that someone else may have wrote similar limericks to mine above, I haven’t read any like that up to this point in my life, so I’m going to go out on a limb and say they are new limericks!

They’re not copyrighted either. Not only are they new, but they are a gift to the world! Free to be used whenever and wherever and however the user wishes to use them. They can even be changed! Used in greetings cards! Sent in an email! Shared at any time.

It’s good to share. I like sharing. It helps me to feel good!

Here! Have some of my good feelings too!

That’s better… you’re smiling now! 🙂

I was already smiling, but thanks, I can always use more good feelings!

These are great limericks! Wonderful that you enter a contest – this is really cool. I really like how positive they are!

    Thank you!

(I added the smile line because limericks aren’t everyone’s cup of tea!)
