For Six Sentence Stories, I’m still continuing to publish my ‘out-takes’, parts that were previously written for Clark and my recent serial Six ‘… of Heroes and the Misunderstood’ but were never included. This week, Denise has chosen Cone as the prompt word.
This part features Rue DeNite, who is one of Clark’s characters, over at The Wakefield Doctrine.

I went inside the main room, pleasantly spaced tables on a nice marble floor, surrounded by what looked like marble walls… the room was quite full, mostly with couples dining, although there were some groups of four… several waiters and waitresses milled about the place… the lighting was quite dim, thanks to the fake real-flame cone-like torches on several of the walls.
I walked over to the furthest table in the room, sending asleep anyone who got in my way… one waitress slumped into someone’s tiramisu, causing the cutomers to complain, but I didn’t hang around to hear them.
The person I was looking for looked up at me as I approached but averted her eyes again and continued speaking to the man she was with.
‘I hope you’ve enjoyed your bolognaise, Rue,’ I said causing her to look at me again, ‘and if you don’t want any of that sauce on your nice white jacket, I suggest you come with me right now.’
‘Who…’ Rue asked at the same time as her companion, but I ignored him, ‘it’s makaronia me kima and champagne coloured, and I’m not going anywhere with you.’
Two waiters approached me from behind, one of them saying something about me leaving, so I did the same to them as the others and gave them some of my dark matter to send them to their dreams, which caused another female customer to complain as one fell across her plate, so I did the same to her as well… I looked at Rue DeNite and with a smirk, and a handful of my black magic, and simply said, ‘well, are you coming?’
