Out of Place

It was a delightful day… the sun shone, and the sky was clear. The food was fabulous, and the price, reasonable. The company, charming; the venue exquisite; the service second to none. The energy levels were high, with everyone in a good mood, with lots of laughter and frivolity. One person sat in the corner, under a visible cloud of melancholy. Out of place, out of character, and then, out of the ordinary, they simply disappeared out of sight.

For Six Sentence Stories. This week, Denise has chosen melancholy for the prompt word… and I chose to take an eerily spooky path for this tale.

Oh dear! A start warning not to get into a melancholy state of mind I guess! No place for melancholy in a world of positivity😃

But not sad, Chris, if they’re a spirit and love revisiting the place!

          I’m back, then I’m gone again… now I’m back again. I think! 😁
