The Long and the Short of it

Hours of daylight, that is.

Depending on where we are, more or less, on June 21st (more or less), we reach the point where the Earth’s axis points closest to or furthest away from the Sun.

The Solstice. Happy Solstice.

Low sun high sun day

Earth tilting towards / away

Happy Solstice All!

Passed all that now, Chris… your days will start to grow longer and warmer from now on, and we’ll do the opposite. These years pass quickly, don’t they? 🙂

Thanks, Penn. They’re from the Greater Grinds, just beyond the perimeter. Happy Solstice by the way… and yes, I’m aware we’re approaching the next one now. I’m always playing catch up!
