You may not after this little lot!
You may or may not remember a love referendum that I run several years ago, well these are the haiku-esque poems that came out of it… first, though, Cupid wanted to stick his arrow in.
Love is a power
Magical reinforcement
Of natural needs
Zephyrs swirl aloft
Carrying scents from afar
Messages from home
Easing Easter in
With love and a little leap
As it’s cold and wet
Dark clouds and dark hearts
Veins pulsating with passion
Needs and thirsts are met
Time and time again
Mistakes are made, lessons learned
Not all are the same
Love is like magic
When awakened it’s surreal
Gentle yet so strong
In one brief instant
A bond of the heart takes place
Life’s line starts afresh
To balance the stones
Takes time, patience and effort
Allow the balance
Love, like grains of sand
Feels solid but drifts away
But there’s lots of sand
Love is an essence
A shade like the grass’s hue
A warmth like the Sun
All things have two sides
War has destruction and peace
And peace comes through love
It’s like a feelin’
This thing called love – a feelin’
This thing called love’s good
I love my pet dog
I love all my pet dog’s friends
And I love to eat
A feeling within
That is apparent without
For those who notice
The votes are now cast
And the results are counted
Love is a good thing
As you can see after the last one, love won the referendum. And although I don’t celebrate Valentine’s Day myself, I thought it time to share these scribbled words yet again.
