The Ropey Kind

Only it isn’t ropey at all… it’s an old, broken, weathered washing line hanging on a wall. It also appears to have three ends in this photo… which, in all reality, it probably doesn’t.

I’m just thinking I should have included the prop as well!

That brought back some childhood memories. My mum always insisted on bringing in the washing line (which was an actual rope) after every use and I always wished she would leave it outside like this one in the photo so that I didn’t have to go through the whole palaver of winding it up round my arm then hanging it on its hook in the kitchen cupboard.

You know. .hanging the wash on line really was better. Fresh and sunshine clean.

Aw, Beverly, I knows I’s only 7, …. the picture takes me back to when I was 4 or 5 – when I was a littler child than I am now! [grins] ~ C. xxx
