The Ropey Kind

Only it isnโ€™t ropey at allโ€ฆ itโ€™s an old, broken, weathered washing line hanging on a wall. It also appears to have three ends in this photoโ€ฆ which, in all reality, it probably doesnโ€™t.

That brought back some childhood memories. My mum always insisted on bringing in the washing line (which was an actual rope) after every use and I always wished she would leave it outside like this one in the photo so that I didn’t have to go through the whole palaver of winding it up round my arm then hanging it on its hook in the kitchen cupboard.

Aw, Beverly, I knows I’s only 7, …. the picture takes me back to when I was 4 or 5 – when I was a littler child than I am now! [grins] ~ C. xxx
