For some reason, I can’t log into my blog on the computer. The menu is missing from the top so I can’t get onto the dashboard. The mobile app seems to be OK, and the dashboard is available on Splodge and Splatter, my other blog, so from there I can get onto Beyond the Sphere’s dashboard, but it is far from ideal.

It’s been a busy day today, so no post to speak of apart from this. Hopefully this posts, but we shall see. I first noticed the problems yesterday. They may or may not tie in with the new block editor that has now been forced upon me, although that just may be a coincidence.

I experience lots of coincidences, so hopefully this is just another. It’s not a created coincidence, however, and I really hope the problems are sorted soon. Time will tell and we shall see.

  1. I acquired the block editor thing which took me a while to get to grips with – annoyingly it won’t let me add tags and categories…sometimes it will, then it won’t.

    1. Thanks, Diane. I’ve just been onto the Happiness Engineers and it looks like it was a me issue rather than a them one! Clearing the browser cache seems to have cleared the problem… although why it worked for one site and not the other is an odd one. I’ll see how it goes!

  3. That’s weird, but it sounds like maybe you’ve gone some way to resolve the problem. Now I’m bracing myself for the inevitable. So far I’ve been able to switch back to the ‘old way’ of doing things. Why make us change? sigh

    1. It says I’m using the ‘classic style, Chris, which may as well just be the new way. At least I can add my featured images, which was all I wanted. I’ll probably get used to the new way by the time it changes again. 🙂
      My issues seem to have gone completely now! Pesky computers!

    1. I think that’s what they asked me to test, Pendantry, which worked fine. The problem was the browser thought I wasn’t logged in, even though I was, so didn’t give me the option to access the dashboard from the site. I’ve kept hold of the admin address ready for the next time I have issues! 🙂

          1. Well, since you ask, I’d have to say ‘no’! I have a habit of coming up with the phrase ‘the wonders of modern technology’ when technology gets in the way: it’s a quote from a Goon Show script — unfortunately, though I’ve looked I’ve never been able to find out which episode it’s from. It’s a recursive loop: the wonders of modern technology can’t even help me find out where to find that quote!

    How long have we had windows, yet it still screws up because of ye auld code from the days of windows 3!!!
