Friday Thoughts
It’s been another relaxing week here at the Mansion, and outside in the Wider World. The weather’s been warmish, although, apparently, it is expected to become scorching over the next few days. I don’t mind the sunshine, but I’m not too keen when it becomes too hot.
Especially at night. Hot, sticky nights, where sleep is elusive, and tossing and turning takes on a life of its own. I’m sure it should be introduced into the next Olympics: synchronised tossing and turning; timed tossing and turning; and tossing and turning to music.
For the past few weeks, I’ve been listening to a variety of pieces of music containing binaural beats. These beats and associated theta waves have a way of programming the mind, or rather reprogramming it. They are available in lots of different flavours too! You can turn your eyes blue, if you so desire. Or you can lose weight, become better looking, become more confident, become more creative. I’m sure there are beats available for just about any aspect of life.
I class these as being Metaphysical, in much the same way I class the Universal Law of Attraction and Cosmic Ordering. We have to put something in to get something out: and that something is belief. If we believe it will happen, it will happen.
The brain uses electrical impulses to work, and these beats externally send impulses to the brain through the ears. The thing is, if they work, great. If they don’t work, the music is so relaxing the body and mind is getting the much deserved rest and relaxation it needs.
Since I started losing weight, one thing about me has changed. I have started to take more of an interest in my appearance. For years, I wasn’t bothered how I looked; I was just me and that was that. But now, I’m opening my own book of vanity! I can’t say with confidence I’m 100 per cent vain, but I’m certainly a lot more vain than I once was.
I pluck eyebrows. Only the mile long ones, you understand, the rest can remain unplucked. I have cheekbones. Visible, defined cheekbones which are accented when I smile. I have dimples when I smile. I love smiling now. No longer do I look like my chin is (chins are) dragging along the floor. And I can see definition starting to appear in my jawline. Once the remaining chins have disappeared, I’m sure my chin and jaw will be the stuff of legend!
I’m back in work again, but only in the mornings for now, so that takes some of the stress surrounding that pesky virus away. I’m also in an office on my own, which makes it easier as well. The afternoons give me plenty of hours to rest and relax, although thinking about it, over the next few days the afternoons may be spent catching up with the sleep I missed whilst training for the Olympics at night.
I must check if there’s a binaural track for reducing bags under the eyes. It may be needed if the bags clash with the cheekbones.
I have a bit to do this afternoon, and then I must get back to catching up with some of the blogs I’m missing. I dip into the reader occasionally, and read what’s there, but not everyone is in the reader at that time, hence I’ve missed quite a few.
It’s funny how quickly more time turns into less time. I must claw back some of that time, otherwise I’ll always be trying to catch up.
But, it’s Friday! The weekend! Which is always good!
Feel Good now!
