Wordle: On The Road

Listen for the whistle within the muffled wind
Close your eyes and feel the wind’s fierce touch upon your skin
As clay eggs rattle around the dusty yard
Pry into the energies of the magic that’s within
Feel the wind push this way and that
Pit your wits and acknowledge the fact
That Kansas vanished seconds ago
And in its place now is a long windy road

You are absolutely right, Beverly. We’re now on a pathway made up of golden coloured cobbles!

You may be right, Samantha… I hadn’t thought of it that way! It was just a quick attempt at describing the twister in the Wizard of Oz…

Sounds like Sam is issuing a challenge Tom! 🙂

Maybe you should consider a short story??? 🙂

God Bless and well done! 🙂

I may return to this, Prenin. It was based on the tornado in the Wizard of Oz, but I could digress with it. We shall see! 😀

    Tis beautiful , Tom.
It somehow has an almost romantic feel – or a feel of somehow reaching out for romance. Quietly, hoping.
Can’t explain it better than that, but it’s a feeling which comes over,
perhaps in the first two lines. Hmm … don’t know. It just feels so lovely.

    It’s beautiful. love it. ~ Cobs. x

Ooh… thanks, Cobs. I hadn’t intended for it to have that feel at all! I’m pleased it kind of reached that level for you…
For me, it was just a quick look at the draughty scene at the beginning of the Wizard of Oz! 😀
I love different interpretations – I see things differently as well. It’s always good.
