I visited you in my dreams last night
You’d had your hair done in a special way
You wanted to tell me something
But couldn’t think of what to say
You pointed to the garden
Where the pond had overflown
And then I found myself somewhere else
And to be honest I was thrown
You called me to you as the dream began
I climbed the flights of stairs
But as soon as we met up again
The dream simply disappeared
Next time when we meet again
Once more you’ll be someone else
But I’ll know your presence and know it’s you
And may even see your face
