She stands. She watches. She hardly ever moves.

Is she waiting for someone?

Looking for something?

She allows herself to be seen, occasionally. And occasionally, she is seen smiling.

Some say she is the Lady in White, who wails throughout the woods on dark stormy nights, calling out an inaudible name. Others say she is Queen Elizabeth I, back to hold court with her many invisible subjects. And there are those who simply describe her as the Spirit of the Trees – although this spirit is not one of Nature’s kind. But her presence always brings with it an eerie chill.

    1. Thanks, Icewolf, and yes it is! After you helped me with the ‘PowerPoint thing’, I’ve tweaked away at many a picture! It was also then tweaked again in PicMonkey, just for the atmosphere. That’s the Bathroom effect, right there! πŸ˜€

      1. It’s a wonderful bathroom effect Tom! Marvellous πŸ™‚ I wish I had some pic tweaking time lol but these Seasonal Spirits of yours and the side effects of the Universe replacing your bathroom are ensuring that doesn’t happen!

    1. Usually, Prenin, the Spirits of the Trees are all good around here. Things are always a little different around Hallowe’en! πŸ˜€
