The Crimson Brilliant Butterfly

A magical, mystical creature that, so far, has only been found around the Mansion and the Grinds. Splodge and Splatter holds the secrets to this hippyish creature’s origins, and a special nod goes out to Diane Henders for providing the inspiration for three posts now! Many thanks, Diane!

lol !!!! When I quickly looked at the picture you’ve done as the page was loading up I saw the daisies and thought they were sunny side up eggs 🙂 The Grinds and Mansion sure have unique creatures. I wonder if there is a way to create brilliant crimson dinosaurs? That would be cool. Or Gold. Better yet, tie dyed…In keeping with the 60’s of course….VK 🙂

I thought the very same thing, VK. I even had the idea to create a Full English Breakfast using PowerPoint… I may still do so!
      A tie-dyed-sixties-style-dinosaur… now there’s an idea!!! 😀

Great pic Tom ☺ Love the way it all comes together and pulls us in with the butterflies!

Thanks, Icewolf. The original image doesn’t have any kind of effect like that to it, but the overlay certainly adds a bit of oomph to it!

Overlays in PowerPoint are pretty awesome! It’s amazing how much can be achieved with them when time is taken to discover the art of using them 🙂

I’m going to have to look into that art, Icewolf!
The overlay in this one was added through PicMonkey, but I’d love to do something entirely through PowerPoint!

I have an instruction sheet I did for myself which I now use as a reminder on methods when needed. It’s not hard when you know how but the results are very pleasing ☺ I could email it to you if you like – the source of information gave some useful tips you’d never have realised you could do with PowerPoint and needs no outside sources. I think you’d have fun with it if what you’re doing now is anything to go off! No worries if you’re not that bothered I’m sure you can figure the tricks out for yourself anyway!

Thanks for the offer, Icewolf, but I think I may have found out how to do it… using shapes and transparency! The odd thing is, I’ve been partly using that anyway, but it never dawned on me as to how further I could take it. Now, though, comes the test… time to put this newly acquired knowledge into action. I may still need your useful tips if it all goes horribly wrong, however… I shall let you know! 🙂
